A Gold Star Mother is a mother whose child has served and died in the line of duty in the Armed Forces of the United States of America or its Allies, or who has died as a result of injuries sustained in such service. www.gsmnm.com
To keep alive the spirit of community service that our Fallen Heroes exemplified, our members work closely with veterans organizations, giving many hours of volunteer work and personal service in New Mexico.
Rick Iannuci’s Horses for Heroes-New Mexico, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit program for combat veterans, is a unique horse therapy wellness and vocational rehabilitation program based at the Crossed Arrows Ranch, south of Santa Fe. The program is offered at no-charge to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan veterans and active military who have sustained physical injuries or combat trauma during their time serving our country. www.horsesforheroes.org
