9-11-10 Albuquerque Civic Center

Brent Eastwood, the Veterans Liaison for Albuquerque Mayor Richard J. Berry, has invited the Gold Star Families to participate in the Commemoration of September 11th at the Albuquerque Civic Plaza at noon on Friday, September 10. Please plan to be there between 11:30 - 11:45 am so we can gather. 

Mothers, please dress in white if you can when participating in this ceremony. All family members are invited to participate. This has always been a very moving and respectful ceremony, lead by the police and fire departments in honor and remembrance of the those victims of the 9-11 attacks on our country, and the

First Responders who perished in their attempts to rescure the people.

Brent said that for parking, park in the city garage under the plaza. Bring the ticket to the Mayor's Office on the 11th floor of City Hall after the ceremony, and they will validate the ticket as NO CHARGE for attending the city-sponsored event.

If you plan to attend, please let me know ASAP, so I can give him an estimate of how many chairs to reserve for our families.
