SPC Donella Mackmiller

Donella, not sure what to write so you can edit if necessary: SPC Donella Mackmiller grew up on a farm in Las Cruces participating in 4-H for many years. She joined the Army National Guard in May 2001. She was the distinguished graduate of her small arms artillery repairer class at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, November 2001. Her National Guard Unit (642nd maintainence co.) was mobilized to Ft. Bliss, TX, May 2003 in support of Operation Noble Eagle III. While in the process of preparing to go to the Middle East, Donella collapsed and died December 1, 2003.  

During her service she was awarded a Generals Coin, the Army Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal and posthumously the Meritorious Service Medal.
