Holiday Cards! They are here!!

They are on sale for $11 per package of 10 cards, including shipping. The artist is Becky Christmas, Gold Star Mother from New Mexico.

Complete the order form below and your cards will be mailed from Headquarters. If your chapter wishes to tack on a couple of dollars to sell for a fund raiser for your department or chapter you are welcome to do so. If you order 10 packages or more at a time the cost is $8 per package of 10 cards with no shipping charges.

The cards are an awareness program in conjunction with Wreaths Across America, one way of supporting this worthy project to decorate the graves of our fallen heroes in National Cemeteries. Some Gold Stars Mothers have already stepped up to the plate to help but others may not be aware of the effort. A special mailing will be going out to the Department Presidents about ways to provide support. Please take some time to review and see if you can help in any way possible.

THird Annual Holiday Card Artwork Competition. This is open to all artists, not just Gold Star Mothers. It can be relatives or friends of Gold Stars Mothers. The art can be of any type or two-dimensional art-- watercolors, oil, acrylics, photographs, etc.

The art work must have a Gold Star theme. The proportions should fit the 5-by-7-inch proportions or a standard envelope. DEADLINE for artwork to be submitted is December 2010. A decision will be made by the National Board at the end of September. The winning artist must be willing to sign a release form for the copyright to be under the ownership of the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.
